Our Mission
Out West Veterinary Urgent Care was created by Dr. Taylor Francis, a Little Rock native and lifelong animal lover who saw a need for accessible, high-quality urgent care when local veterinary offices were closed.
After earning his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. Francis began his career in Texas before working with Purina as a veterinary consultant, helping clinics and pet owners improve patient health through nutrition. Drawn back home to Arkansas, he returned to clinical practice in Little Rock, where he discovered his passion for veterinary urgent care medicine — helping pets and their families through unexpected medical situations.
Out West Veterinary Urgent Care was built on that foundation: a place where advanced medicine meets genuine compassion, and where every pet is treated like family.
Our Story
Dr. Taylor Francis, a Little Rock native and lifelong animal lover, founded Out West Veterinary Urgent Care after recognizing a gap in accessible, high-quality care during the hours when local veterinary offices were closed.
